Escape and renew

The 1km driveway into Cherrywood is a little adventure in itself, bumping through semi-rainforest and delivering you to a gorgeous spot on top of Berry Mountain. The house design easily soaked up 2 families (including 4 energetic kids), and Lends itself to companiable cooking and conversing in a very comfy open plan living/kitchen/dining area. We had numerous visits from wombats on the front lawn, which was a treat. Take supplies in with you as there is no ‘ducking to the shops’!

Incredibly tranquil!

We had a wonderful stay at Cherrywood. The house is spotlessly clean, spacious and beautifully appointed. All rooms are generously sized and the crows from both showers and bathtub are spectacular. The house is very remote and feels incredibly tranquil. We were greeted by kangaroos both mornings with beautiful mists behind them in the valley. The private road to get there felt like off-roading (4WD a must) but it was all part of the fun. Would happily stay again. Thank you for having us.

We loved our stay!

We loved our stay! Such an amazing property with heaps of space, the fire made it so nice and cozy! The combined kitchen/lounge/ dining room made for a great space for cooking group dinners as well as playing card games by the fire. The staff who helped us check in were very friendly and provided us with lots of fire wood to keep us warm!

Exactly what we needed!

We absolutely loved Cherrywood! It was exactly what we needed. Beautiful home that had everything you could ask for. Gorgeous views and we had a couple of visitors - Wally the wombat munching his way around the property, loads of birds singing away and a little kangaroo made a brief appearance on our last morning. Berry Getaways were very helpful when we addressed the incorrect details on the wifi logins. The road to the property had seen better days but we were all good due to our 4WD.

Peace and quiet

Great communication and beautiful property. A bit tricky to get to when roads are wet as they are quite slippery and more like a track, but it's fine if you just take it slow. Lots of wildlife and very peaceful. Kids loved the cubby house

Berry stay with family.

We had a lovely serene stay here and are so happy to have enjoyed some space away from the bustle of metro Sydney. Would highly recommend it for those who enjoy the outdoors, lovely spacious home. Thank you!

We keep coming back to Cherrywood! It's a beautiful house with everything you need. We love the house design, with two separate sleeping areas (each with their own bathroom) at opposite ends of the house it gives everyone privacy and space. The kitchen is well appointed and generously stocked with kitchenware, quality appliances and tea/coffee. Stunning views across the valley. Has a lovely remote feel but is only a short drive down to Berry town. Plenty of room for kids to roam and play safely.

Beautiful place but in the middle of nowhere

We chose Cherrywood for a girls weekend away to relax and unwind. The house is lovely, very spacious, clean and comfortable. Things to note - it is quite far (about 20 minutes) from the main town and not the easiest road to follow. The house has concrete floors which made it even colder than it was. Apparently there’s underfloor heating but it wasn’t switched on or working for us. There are NO additional heaters in the house so apart from the fireplace and electric blankets, we were freezing!

We really enjoyed our stay in cherrywood, beautiful view and spotless clean house, with kitchen full of equipment you need, the only thing not happy with is the distanced rubbish bin.

A hanging chair or hammock would be great under the front eve.

Great house for 4 couples. Would also suit 2 families perfectly. Kitchen had everything and more. One of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed in. We even saw 2 wombats on the property. Berry Getaways were so easy to deal with. Communication was extremely prompt. Would return in a heartbeat. Thanks

Ideal for a large young family. We really enjoyed our stay, the house was nicely laid out and had a cute little play area for the kids. Beautiful grounds to wonder around and take in the view. No reception for phones or iPads which was nice to be forced to uncouple from the stresses of modern life.

Cherrywood is the perfect place for a luxury getaway in a tranquil setting. The view over the valley is amazing. We were visited by native animals rarely seen, such as wombats and lyre birds. The house is very clean and well appointed with everything required to make for a comfortable stay and the layout of the house suits two families, providing privacy and ample common areas to share. We particularly enjoyed sitting around the fireplace while taking in the view.

We had a wonderful time staying at Cherrywood. The house has honestly exceeded all of our expectations. We will be back!

Perfect getaway from the city! "We chose Cherrywood as our Xmas in July weekend destination for 6 adults and 3 toddlers. What appealed to us when booking was the quiet, hilltop location, an outside play area especially for the kids and the fact it had no phone reception or wifi! When we approached the property and travelled the last few minutes on a single forest track (no 4WD needed!) you immediately felt a disconnect from the city crazyness. The view into the valley from the back deck was awesome and no photo would do it justice. The property is fantastically equipped for catering to large groups with all kitchen essentials provided. The bedrooms are spacious with comfy beds and everything was spotless. We would not hesitate in recommending this to anyone who wanted to get away from it all for a weekend!"

Lovely view of the valley. Those house itself was very well equipped with everything we needed for a group of 7. Went on bush walks and saw kangaroos which was a highlight. WiFi worked very well for our younger travelers. Lovely BBQ area and great for sunset drinks also.
